SUMMARY: The Social Media & Digital Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for interacting with and helping to develop content for the Stand Up To Cancer digital community.

This includes facilitating social media ideas, helping to develop and execute content, and trafficking the content internally and externally for approvals. The coordinator will also be responsible for the tracking and outreach of bloggers/online communities/micro influencers. This position carries with it the great responsibility of properly representing Stand Up to Cancer to the public. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a crucial part of the success of this position, specifically the ability to present ideas and information clearly, personify the voice of all our programs, adjust tone and nuance with the audience in mind, and engage with other social networking users in a personal and meaningful way.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 40% Social Media Content Schedule social media calendars and manage the daily postings Write and edit copy for social media calendars and posts In conjunction with program managers, help coordinate with various departments, including production, marketing, communications and business development, to develop social media content Help compile reports and analytics Help the social media manager in developing the larger strategies around each social media platform, and make recommendations on improving results 25% Trafficking Content for Approvals Traffic copy and digital creative content for review and approvals Help the social media manager in coordinating deliverables with vendors as needed 35% Outreach and Management of Digital Community Help keep track of influencers, bloggers, online communities, etc, working closely with the Comms, Ops, and marketing/RSA teams to be aligned in outreach Cultivate relationships with mid-level/long tail/micro influencers and bloggers, and engage them on social media channels as tied to various SU2C campaigns

Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a bachelorÂ’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning Knowledge of the needs, challenges and opportunities of the digital media sector, the entertainment industry, digital technologies, with the non-profit sector a plus Two-three years relevant experience in PR, digital marketing, and/or social media Must have an in-depth knowledge of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat) as well as new and upcoming ones Excellent writing skills, with a knack for knowing good social content Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint a must; Keynote a plus Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator preferred

Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a willingness to share information and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
