The Senior Festivals Manager will be a key member of the Event Management team and line manage a team which is responsible for the management, development and delivery of multiple festivals and projects within the festivals.

Your role as Senior Festivals Manager will be focused on the planning, management and administration required to facilitate the running of the festivals and projects within the festivals and you will need a proven track record with direct experience in this area.

You will need to be highly organised, able to manage and prioritise you and your team’s workload and be able to use your experience and knowledge to lead the team and implement process and systems to develop the department and deliver the events seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Departmental time management and workflow planning
  • Planning, management and delivery of:
    • Festival entry systems including ticketing, accreditation and guest lists
    • Event staffing
    • Accommodation, travel and subsistence
    • Merchandise
    • Non music based event content
    • Festival accessibility
    • Sustainability plans and green team
    • Supplier management
    • Post event reconciliation including de-brief and future planning
    • General event administration
    • Other key areas required to deliver the events
  • Assisting in pre-event planning and then delivering and implementing plans
  • Budget planning and management of sections of the event budgets whilst keeping up-to-date with all accounts processes
  • Line management of a small team within the Event Management department
  • Working cross departmentally to offer support within your departments remit to ensure smooth delivery of the events (other departments within the business are: creative, marketing, rights & partnerships, production and finance)
  • Planning and implementation of ticketing systems across the festivals including working on planning, forecasting and monitoring
  • Planning temporary staff resource required at the festivals with consideration of event development and budgets
  • Use of Marcato Software as a key tool for management of the festivals
  • Onsite management at events to deliver your areas of festivals and projects

Essential attributes

  • Proven track record delivering the relevant areas
  • Previous experience working in the festival industry
  • Passionate not only about your work but also about the industry and relevant culture surrounding Vision Nine’s events
  • Be a leader within your department
  • Able to plan and work to timelines and deadlines on multiple projects
  • A meticulous and detailed planner
  • Computer literate including a good working knowledge of excel
  • Knowledge of Macarto software or willingness to immures yourself and learn
  • Happy to travel and work events away from home
  • Flexible working hours as some weekend work is required for the events
