Job Summary

The Editor is responsible for working independently and in collaboration with the senior editor and creative teams to assemble raw material into a finished product. Work with senior editor to understand the vision of each project. Incorporate footage, dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics and special effects together to convey brand messaging. Edit video clips and segments; ensure logical sequencing. Output digital copies for use in various formats. Consult with senior editor through all phases of the production and post-production processes. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency

The audio editor / audio composer will work on a variety of projects including: commercials, documentaries, and short films. The preferred candidate will produce, edit and compose audio elements including: ADR, foley, sound effects, voice over and various instrumental composing. These elements will be produced in tandem to the work being completed in the video edit suite or as stand alone items.Provide a strong portfolio consisting of audio composition and/or sound design.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
  • Three years of experience producing motion graphics and video editing
  • Three years of experience producing motion graphics and video editing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Pro Tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of audio editing workflows.
  • Proficiency with digital technology and audio editing software packages.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier video editing software.
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity etc.
