Job Description The Senior Director, Production & Entertainment is responsible for managing all audio/visual productions and the day-to-day broadcasting needs of the Minnesota United FC. The Senior Director, Production & Entertainment facilitates the efforts of all live, pre-taped and scoreboard elements within and oversees the relationships with all broadcasters. The Senior Director, Production & Entertainment oversees the infrastructure of the control room and all of its related systems as well as the broadcasting infrastructure and transition to Allianz Field Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Audio/Visual Entertainment 

Direct the creation of all audio/visual content 

Direct long and short form projects 

Direct field and studio shoots 

Direct all internal departments in the most effective use of production assets 

Direct the distribution of production assets across multiple platforms 

Direct and manage all projects utilizing external production companies 

Direct the design and implementation of all graphical and statistical content 

Direct live productions and events in conjunction with outside companies and clients 

Direct the development of new and innovative fan entertainment concepts 

Direct the implementation of MNUFC branding in all audio/visual productions 

Direct the overall fan entertainment experience including music, entertainment, videos, etc. 

Conceptualize Sponsorship, Group Sales and all internal and external creative ideas 

Conceptualize new and innovative fan entertainment concepts 

Write scripts and treatments for various features, commercials and live events 

Manage full-time, match day and non-match day staff 

Manage the development of all staff members, ensuring their skills advance 

Manage the MNUFC post-production process 

Manage the sharing of content between the MNUFC,, FSN, ESPN, MLS and all other outside companies 

Manage all match day assets, schedules and scripts ensuring complete activation 

Manage the relationship with MLS on all scoreboard and broadcasting elements 

Manage all internal and external broadcasters 

Manage the day-to-day needs of the MNUFC flagship radio station, on-air talent and crew 

Manage the day-to-day needs of the MNUFC regional sports network, on-air talent and crew 

Supervise 5 full-time staff members 

Supervise over production match day staff members 

Supervise production seasonal interns 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a demonstrated knowledge and proven track record of entertainment practices and principles 

Advanced creative video production and match entertainment experience 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience developing creative concepts, producing broadcast-quality video or large-scale stadium/arena live sporting events 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with production switchers 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with non-linear editing systems 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with motion graphics programs 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with graphics programs 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with large screen display 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with professional video cameras and interchangeable lens systems 

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with professional lighting, grip and audio equipment 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions 

Working knowledge of control room equipment 

Knowledge of soccer, its rhythms, history and rules 

Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines 

Ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously 

Ability to prioritize jobs on short notice, and establish and manage priorities 

Ability to manage a large group of employees successfully 

Available to work long irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed 

Strong teamwork and relationship building skills 

Strong decision-making skills 

Professional soccer and/or other professional sports production experience 
Physical/Environmental Requirements 

Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work 

Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venues 

May work at heights 

Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb up/down stairs 

The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
