Video Guru 
Are you the guy or gal everyone in your family turns to with a video or media question? 

Twin Cities based retail media transfer company Astound Video Duplication and Transfer is looking for an experienced video guru to work full time in our Minneapolis or Apple Valley store. Candidate must be detail oriented, comfortable working alone, self-motivated and able to think creatively to accomplish a wide variety of video tasks. 

Ideal candidate will have retail sales/customer service experience. Familiarity with audio and video terminology as it relates to cameras, audio, lighting, VTRs, media, video codecs, editing, etc. Ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure. 

Tasks include editing video and authoring DVDs from client supplied instructions. Performing assorted video transfers and conversions. Working with customers in a retail environment to identify video transfer needs, write up orders, handle payments, and answering video-related questions. Working one-on-one with customers to edit their home movies. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Demonstrated experience editing with Final Cut Pro, DVD mastering with DVD Studio Pro and video conversions with Compressor is a plus. 

This is position is full time, approximately 40 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours as workload allows especially October-December. Regular Saturday hours are required. This is an hourly position. Starting wage is $13 - $16 per hour depending upon qualifications, with review after 6 months. Overqualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
