  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization or 4 years combined equivalent education & experience
  • 2+ years of related experience in professional video production (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in non-linear video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Proficient with motion graphics and animation design software, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects
  • Familiarity tapeless HD camera workflows, including dSLR cinema cameras
  • Basic knowledge of video codes and formats
  • Basic knowledge of and demonstrated abilities in graphic design
  • Demonstrated ability to meet short deadlines, work in team-oriented and fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to set up and execute solo shoots in a studio and on location
  • Function in accordance to all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, WCHA and University rules and regulations
About the Job

Twelve-month, Full-Time 100% Appointment (Staff - Professional Non-Faculty)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Digital Multimedia Producer will provide a variety of services, most notably in video and motion graphics production.  This position will primarily serve as a content producer for the University of Minnesota athletic department as part of Gopher Digital Productions.  Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualize, produce, shoot and edit video content for Gopher Athletics web and video board broadcasts
  • Work with other units within Athletics, including marketing, development and communications to create feature, promotional, publicity, highlight and other multimedia content
  • Assist (when needed) with live production operations for TCF Bank Stadium, Williams Arena, Mariucci Arena and Sports Pavilion events
  • Produce motion graphics for in-game video board and web properties
  • Assist with efforts to improve production quality of live video webcasts, utilizing existing and new technological infrastructure
  • Coordinate archiving and sharing of digital video assets for departmental usage
  • Mentor and guide intern and student workforce to increase and improve both quality and quantity of video content
