Position Summary:
This position works to develop and lead marketing strategies, plans and promotional tactics for specific content areas including Water, Mental Health, and APM Research Lab that drive awareness and encourage usage of and engagement with our products and services.

Position Responsibility:
Evaluate brand positioning strategy by gathering insights on audiences, competition, and other relevant trends. Work closely with content areas to understand business goals and plans to build comprehensive marketing plans that integrate content/product and marketing efforts. Further understand audiences (segments, behaviors, psychographics) and their needs, to align (B2B and/or B2C) marketing and content tactics accordingly. Manage the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns for these content areas including developing media and content plans, tracking deadlines, expense and revenues, and creative execution in a timely and strategic fashion. Act as liaison between the internal customer and the creative team to manage identified projects create briefs, establish timelines, gather complete information necessary for production, work with client on purpose and effectiveness of elements. Provide marketing guidance and support for internal sales departments including Development and Underwriting. Collaborate with PR and membership teams to holistically plan and implement all efforts. Work with external partners to augment brand's reach and relevance via sponsorships, partnerships and trade. Spearhead, organize and execute small-scale events; work with dedicated Events team on larger event strategies. Drive brand stewardship across the organization and all touchpoints from strategy to execution. Other duties as assigned. 

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related subject area; OR equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Marketing, Advertising or Media. Experience providing work direction. Experience managing multiple programs and clients. Experience implementing multi-dimensional marketing projects, including special events. 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated high degree of professional initiative and accountability. Ability to provide strategic direction, lead strategic discussions. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide-variety of internal clients and staff, and a high degree of initiative and attention to detail is a must. Competence in transitioning from detail-oriented tasks to seeing the bigger picture. Ability to thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing and at times, very stressful, environment. Flexibility is essential. An enthusiasm for the product and company. A familiarity with and specific interest in public radio, its programs and audiences. Demonstrated high degree of professional initiative and accountability. Strong verbal communication, presentation and writing skills. 

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in online marketing and new marketing technologies. Experience from a marketing or advertising agency. Experience in organizing and staffing community events.
