The individual in this role will be a critical part of the marketing and communication team, supporting the organization through all social media channels. This person will develop tactics to support campaigns, engage with fans through social media outlets, and manage aspects of social media channels for the organization.
Essential Functions

1. Develop and disperse compelling content for social networking sites and implement reoccurring day-to-day updates and changes to all channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
2. Create and execute social media strategies.
3. Produce a detailed distribution calendar for the planning and management of all digital content.
4. Serve as a key point of contact for digital content initiatives.
5. Engage in conversations that surround brand & content and stimulate dialogue across digital platforms.
6. Track frequency of brand recognition and content. 
7. Analyze trends, and metrics to measure engagement in social media. 
8. Generate and analyze digital reporting metrics to evaluate digital success across various platforms.
9. Collaborate with internal and external parties to support strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:
  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  2. Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of social media platforms.
  4. Familiarity DSLR Cameras for Photo/Video, Photoshop, Premiere and Adobe CC
  5. Familiarity with Social Media Reporting.
  6. Knowledge of HTML a plus.
  7. Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  8. Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  9. Ability to manage specific processes and tasks in the department under supervision.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

At least 1-2 years of consumer engagement experience.

This position may have supervisory responsibility. 
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically 8:30 AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday. In addition to working office hours staff are required to work all Timberwolves and Lynx games, in addition to external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps. 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
Position may require some travel.
