Role Purpose 
The Production Assistant, Production Media Management role is designed to handle day-to-day and long term asset management support for the operations team working in a shared storage environment. This role will help to manage what production material is stored and/or archived. 


  • Assist day to day content oversight of media management 
  • Aid long term planning for the media management of content and assets 
  • Help coordinate with sport production teams, archive editorial decisions, and acts as a liaison with the Technical team, providing daily/weekly/monthly purge and store data 
  • Learn and help to transcode and ingest files from multiple camera formats 
  • Help to maintain weekly temporary file storage repository and the FTP delivery site 
  • Gain awareness of how to manage file transfers on both public and private folders 
  • Help to manage, maintain and guide operations regarding the purging of file systems 
  • Stay current on all post production techniques and workflows 
  • Be aware of how to transport music and graphic files on Avid non-linear editors 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant TV Production or related field with equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum one (1) years’ of familiarity with use of Avid non-linear editing software and Avid Interplay Media asset management software 
  • Minimum one (1) years’ experience supporting Windows operating environment 
  • Minimum one (1) years of prior studio/remote sports production experience
