We are looking for a video editor who loves to bring creative projects to life and enjoys working as a team member in a collaborative setting. Video Editor Tasks:

  • Editing video content for a variety of diverse projects (corporate, commercial, long-form, social, broadcast, motion design)
  • Editing our team’s original content as well as cuttingclient’s projects, while maintaining a high level of professional quality in all work
  • Creating high-end, broadcast quality graphics and motion GFX animations for video and multimedia projects
  • Facilitating the approval process, including master compressions, QC final output and delivery of digital masters
  • Managing the organization of the project and related media assets, including logging hours and archiving projects

The ideal candidate has:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in video / film production as a video editor
  • A sustained high level of professional quality in all work
  • A firm grasp of the story-telling process and how to weave sound, video and script together to tell a compelling story.
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and broadcast standards
  • Proficiency in Avid Media Composer (or strong desire to learn Avid) and Creative Cloud programs (e.g. After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Sorenson Squeeze
  • Ability to do sound design and audio mixing as well as able to handle color correction as required
  • Ability to implement provided graphics and titles, the ability to create original graphics / 2D animation, and the ability to manipulate 3D models
  • Skill in organizing projects, managing workload for multiple projects, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflow,including collaboration with creative directors, producers, and directors
  • Good knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs, frame rates, resolutions and their proper handling in a post workflow
  • A love of video editing
