Job Description

The Video Specialist works within the Content Marketing Team.  As a Video Specialist, your primary responsibility is to create compelling stories that will resonate with our customers. More tactically, this involves shooting, cutting and editing video footage as required to develop creative and successful online videos for our website and multiple social channels. 


  • Create concepts for video shorts of 00:05 – 03:00 (and possibly longer form pieces and video series)
  • Collaborate with creative director, writers, producer and partners to build creative concepts that answer the strategic asks of the business
  • Create and present clear, articulate storyboards and other presentation materials to partners for feedback and approval
  • Work with producer and project manager to plan, schedule and execute video shoots with necessary internal and external resources
  • Film video footage both in the studio as well as on location, with knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting and other necessary equipment
  • Collaborate with creative team to create engaging graphics, animations and stories for use in videos
  • Study scripts to become familiar with storylines and requirements
  • Log and tag footage appropriately
  • Review footage sequence by sequence to become familiar with it before assembling it into a final product
  • Trim film segments to specified lengths, and reassemble segments in sequences that present stories with maximum effect
  • Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story
  • Determine the specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete films
  • Record needed sounds, or obtain them from sound effects libraries
  • Perform music searches
  • Partner with creative team on layout or editing approaches needed to increase dramatic or entertainment value of productions
  • Ensure visual elements and quality standards are maintained across the entire video production portfolio
  • Retouch video including highly technical logo replacement, color correction, special effects, and inserting music/sound
  • Work with country-specific specialists to edit projects where needed to fit the language and culture of different locales


  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of video experience required
  • Creative, self-motivated team player
  • Must demonstrate and possess understanding of storytelling, design and editorial processes, as well as the ability to integrate them all with high production value
  • Demonstrated ability to work in all video formats and delivery systems
  • Demonstrated ability to produce and edit short form videos
  • Proficient in the use of Final Cut Studio and After Effects
  • Graphic experience including Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Demonstrated project and team communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and self-management skills
  • Degree in cinematography, editing or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience and knowledge of video for content marketing for both product and brand purposes preferred
  • Expert proficiency in English required; additional proficiency in French and/or German a bonus

Travel of up to 25% to major markets (US, CA, UK, FR, DE, AU) will be required.
