What part will you play?  

  • The Turner Studios Apprenticeship Coordinator role will support Creative Services management; he or she will learn the administrative side as well as continuously update any and all workflows.
  • They will support the needs of management by providing meticulous notes and know that communication is of the upmost importance.
  • But wait, it's not all work and no play! You'll have a unique insight behind the scenes at Turner Studios, where you'll work with people who have 20+ years of experience in the television industry, helping to build both your knowledge and resume beyond the usual corporate desk scene.
  • If you've always wondered what it would be like to work in the television industry but not sure where to begin, the apprenticeship gives you opportunities to not only work with managers but editors, operations, production, sound design, VFX, and more.   
What will you be doing?
  • The Turner Studios Apprentice will spend the first few months learning and educating themselves on workflows and management expectations.
  • Most of the time will be spent assisting the Managerial staff, while there will be times needed to support creative artists.
  • The goal of the first year is to gain enough knowledge and skills leading into the second year in which the Apprentice can work with little to no supervision in processing the department needs and providing support to the Creative Services' management teams.
  • More specifically, support the directors of VFX, Sound Design, and Edit with departmental needs such as but not limited to: - Maintain and update multiple Sharepoints and websites. - Help directors with creative's requests. - Maintain and manage font library. - Book travel for conferences and award shows - Collect and organize submissions for various industry awards - Track and bill clients weekly for vouchers/fonts/etc.
What do we need from you?
  • Demo reel of current work
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, television post-production preferred
  • Strong After Effects skills
  • Must be familiar with database management
  • Thorough understanding of post-production processes
  • Meticulous organization and categorizing skills
  • Creative flair for storytelling
  • Knowledge of Maya,C4D, Nuke, Resolve a huge plus
  • Interpersonal Skills - Self-motivated/ Takes initiative / Intuitive
  • Time management skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prep graphic material per a designer's instructions
  • Knowledge of the Turner Entertainment Brands (TBS, TNT, TCM, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Sports) a plus
