In support of the overall Learning College, the Audio Engineer is responsible for engineering live performances and serves as chief operator.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Engineering all live performances occurring in Studio-B and at remote locations to include: Pre-production, first line artist contact, instruction in Federal Communication Commission (FCC) broadcast language and phrasing, and serving as host for performing artists as necessary
  • Responsible for recording, mixing and mastering “Crowd Around The Mic” CD series
  • Host WNCW live or prerecorded programming on a fill-in basis as necessary
  • Act as liaison with the business office during the annual inventory
  • Represent WNCW through public personal appearances
  • Participate in on air fundraising
  • Other duties as assigned
