Roles and Responsibilities:
The Audio Technician position will be responsible for execution of in-house shows and events. Works with Director of Production and Events to coordinate projects, maintain overall product quality and follow all appropriate rules, regulations, and guidelines
  • Assists with infrastructure repair and preventative maintenance
  • Management of inventory (show/event equipment, music library, props, etc.)
  • Operate scissor and boom lifts
  • Ability to work high above ground
  • Assist with static advertising changes (Sky Murals, Duratrans, etc.)
  • Enhances department and company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Perform daily facility walk-through inspections
  • Assist with all other elements of the operation as needed

Working Knowledge Requirements:

  • Audio Software: ProTools 11, Logic Pro 7, and Abelton Live 6
  • Audio Equipment: Yamaha LS9, Rio 1608-d, Mackie cfx-m, Soundcraft
  • Mixing live shows: tracks, bands, and vocals; editing music
  • Stage and runway automation and spotting; Effects (fog, confetti, etc.)
  • Load in/load out; Event set-up and tear down

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Previous experience: prefer at least 3 years in the entertainment industry

  • Entertainment, Nightclub or Casino background a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer programs including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, iTunes, Google Apps, and the Internet.

Position Summary:

It is the primary responsibility of the Technician to setup, tear down, maintain, repair, and operate both production and A/V equipment as required, while providing excellent customer service and support. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

• Sets up, tears down, and operates all production equipment for events and special projects.

• Provides quality control on equipment and systems to make sure they are working properly by performing preventive maintenance.

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electronic equipment such as computer, audio, video, sound, lighting, and projection systems, as well as other systems as required.

• Notifies the supervisor(s) and/or manager(s) when any major equipment repairs are needed.

• Maintains system service information and personal daily work and safety logs as required.


Provide technical support at city-wide productions and events, as well as Mobile Stage rentals.

Operation of small hand tools, generators, media equipment, hydraulic lifts, lighting equipment, and professional sound equipment.

Train assigned employees in the methods and practices of live/recorded sound applications.

Set up, test and operate various mixing consoles, power amplifiers, Front of House and Monitor speakers.  Mix sound and lighting for various types of live bands and entertainment venues.

Ensure safe work practices.

Ensure that assigned facilities and equipment are maintained in proper working condition.

Procure materials for assigned facilities

Enforce OSHA and fire regulations and enforce security of theater equipment

Mix professional sound and lighting in live entertainment settings.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from high school or equivalent

Two years of technical stage craft experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Possession of an appropriate, valid driver’s license on date of application.  CDL certification desired, but not mandatory.
