Overview

Topgolf is seeking an experienced Audio Video (A/V) Production Manager to provide leadership and management with all guest-facing digital media assets and technology within the venue.  This position ensures Topgolf Las Vegas operates optimally and that all guests, production partners, promoters, sponsors and associates enjoy a consistent, first-class experience within the venue.  The A/V Production Manager ensures all production activities are performed in accordance with Topgolf’s business and partnership objectives, budget guidelines, mission statement and core values.  This role is a first for the Topgolf organization and is a hands-on role – in other words…you run the show

Key Responsibilities

KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Develop audio/video content strategy throughout the venue and programming during individual events and across different event types.
  • Manage an inventory of over 300 digital displays, including digital signage, video wall and large-format LED signage using digital content management software.
  • Define production standards for leveraging the venue’s A/V and lighting systems for displaying video, graphics, logos, or animations.
  • Provide operational expertise for all video, audio, specialty lighting, production systems and equipment used for general venue and event presentations including, but not limited to Crestron control automation and DMX lighting.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to manage all brand campaigns for internal associates and external guests.
  • Work with the Director of Entertainment to program all concerts and events held in each of the venue’s entertainment spaces. This includes, audio and visual programming needs for artists and/or promoters.
  • Responsible for facilitating the venue's video production workflow to meet organizational requirements.
  • Schedules and supervises stagehand crews (i.e., riggers deck-hand, loaders, A/V technicians, spot light operators).
  • Work with Topgolf Partnerships & Sponsorships department to ensure that all (sold) media space is running, as agreed upon with partners. Regular reporting for each media partner must be provided periodically. 
  • Work with marketing personnel to identify and manage content creation/production assignments for each Topgolf event.
  • Provides leadership and directs all activities and personnel engaged in operating, maintaining, and programming the audio and video systems within the venue.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with directors, managers, supervisors, employees, patrons, clients, service providers and corporate sponsors.
  • Collaborates with sales groups and promoters with developing and executing presentation content and to cultivate effective strategies for meeting client needs through creative deployment of building technology.
 

Key Qualifications

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a managerial capacity in venue operations and/or Live Event/TV production.
  • Technical proficiency in the areas of Stage Lighting, Sound, Rigging, Video, Scenic Set up and Digital Signage.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to effectively manage production workflow as well as a live control room production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in venue operations and/or Live Event/TV production.
  • Technical proficiency in A/V systems and production control room technologies.

  • Ability to effectively manage production workflow as well as a live control room production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, plus 3 years of experience in related field.
  • Specific experience as it relates to video production in a sports or entertainment facility; organizing and directing event production requirements for sporting or entertainment events.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, live entertainment production environments, professional broadcast control room equipment, complex digital distributed sound systems and digital signage.
  • Specific knowledge of non-linear editing software, audio, video, and lighting control systems, and familiarity with content creation software, like the Adobe Creative Suite and 3D motion graphics software.
  • Experience with digital content management application(s).
  • Understanding of and experience with modern broadcast infrastructure used in video production environments.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management, promoters, suppliers, guests and visitors.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, double shifts, if needed.
  • Excellent verbal, written and public relations skills.
  • Knowledge of the functions, operations, and equipment of a multi-purpose entertainment complex.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
