The Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club are seeking an energetic individual ready to work in a fast-paced production environment. We are currently in need of a part-time production assistant for LA Kings Production Team. The part-time position would be based out of our offices in El Segundo and from STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week. Candidates should be interested in the creative process specific to film and production. This is a great opportunity to get on-set, Documentary and post-production experience with a great organization whose production team continues to grow and evolve. Essential Duties Include:
Assisting with all aspects of video production including but not limited to: shooting, editing, producing, production assistant duties, etc..
Assisting with archiving and logging footage, highlight melts/assistant editing.
Assisting with lighting and shooting interviews, b-roll, editing and distribution of day-to-day videos.
Assisting with distribution and editing of game highlights and in-arena features.
Assisting with department clerical/research tasks.
Contribute with creative new ways to cover the team, as well as execute those ideas. Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must have 1-2 years experience working in production OR have college training in film production.
Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience shooting with multiple camera systems
Experience with lighting and grip equipment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn required business systems
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well as a member of a team and meet specified deadlines.
Desire to work within the production/sports industry strongly preferred
