KTVB, the TEGNA station, in Boise, Idaho has an immediate opening for a full-time Production Assistant. The Production Assistant performs a variety of studio and control room responsibilities. The job involves operating master control, running audio for newscasts and assisting with preparation of locally produced content. Production duties include tagging on-air promo spots and helping to produce billboards, program messages and public service announcements. Must operate master control automation, record/playback systems, video router, switcher, satellite receivers and monitoring equipment. Job involves interpreting program logs, managing playlists, switching commercial breaks during live programs presented on KTVB/KTFT and overseeing on-air signals in accordance with FCC regulations. Other duties include operating cameras and audio on various studio and remote productions.
Must be dependable, well organized and able to perform quickly under pressure of deadlines. Able to learn and adapt to new technologies including IT based video production and broadcast systems. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications are required. The position involves working varying shifts including weekends and evenings.
