  • Audio mixing and operation of associated support equipment 
  • Work creatively with the on-duty Director to establish sound production practices for the delivery of content within studio and topical programming. 
  • Become fully knowledgeable in all aspects of the operation and basic maintenance of the audio system, including the audio console, IFB system, and support systems. 
  • Perform set up operations and continuously monitor audio levels from all sources throughout production to ensure continuous quality control based upon established industry standards. 
  • Work with radio simulcast teams to drive and help facilitate high end audio elements for all shows 
  • Work as directed to maintain the integrity of all associated audio and support equipment. 
  • Adept at creating and implementing audio needs for field shoots and remote shows 
  • Proficient in creating audio solutions for both field shoots and remote studio shows 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum three (3) years experience mixing audio in a live news, sports or production environment 
  • Experience with various multi - channel audio boards/audio software 
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice 
  • Must be willing to work in Portland, OR 
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation 
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Qualified applicants must demonstrate an understanding of established industry standards for audio quality and quality control. 
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must. 
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
