The Fitzgerald Theater is committed to programming that reflects the audience and mission of Minnesota Public Radio. This 1,000-seat theater acts as MPR’s largest broadcast studio. Our staged productions that allow authors, artists and radio hosts to create intellectually stimulating programs to delight and enlighten the public radio community.
The ticket office sales associate is a key role in offering the highest levels of customer service to patrons in person and by telephone, selling tickets, handling patron issues during show hours; with a majority of working hours during evenings, weekends and holidays. This is an on-call position with a varied schedule according to the events calendar.

Responsible for serving the patrons by selling and processing tickets for events and distributing will-call;
sells and processes ticket orders at the counter and via telephone
Responsible for customer service;
maintaining and utilizing up-to-date knowledge on shows and the theater to support the patron experience.
Actively promotes ticket offers to patrons–including package sales, up- and cross-selling
Responsible for cash handling and compliance with cash handling policies and procedures.
Operates a computer, register and/or credit card equipment.
Distributes literature to patrons and answers questions in response to inquiries about shows and events; ensuring that marketing and other relevant Fitzgerald and MPR print materials are up-to-date and well-stocked in the ticket office lobby
Supports marketing and promotional projects for ticketed events.
Ensuring the ticket office is clean and well-presented throughout the event.
Assists with closing of the ticket office.
Problem-solves proactively and effectively communicates with patrons and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications or requirements
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
1 – 2 years of customer service experience.
1 – 2 years ticket sales experience; experience with ticketing software preferred.
